![]() Our standard room was very good size with an easy chair and small sofa w/ coffee table and an excellent value. I / we've stayed at 10 or more strip hotels from Bellagio and Mirage to Tropicana (which is a little run down), and other mid to lower price spots and would choose Flamingo again next year. Harrah's (now the owner) is a shady business! ![]() ![]() I would never attempt to stay here again. There is definitely an older crowd running at the Flamingo. The bathroom counter had paint peeling off everywhere. I did see my co-workers room and it was rough around the edges. Do they know how inappropriate it is to suggest something like that? They wouldn't offer me the same group rate as my co-worker, so I had no choice but to go somewhere else. Are you kidding me? The desk manager was even standing right there and agreed. In response to the lost reservation, the desk clerk actually suggested that I "just stay with" my male co-worker. I even had a confirmation number and they couldn't find it with that. The reservations were made through the exact same service at the same time, so I don't see how it could have been lost there. After waiting 20 minutes in line just to check in, my co-worker checked in fine, but they had no trace of my reservation. ![]() My company booked myself and a co-worker each a room here. I wouldn't stay there again for that price. All the hotels had jacked up their prices during this time. I do feel that we chose a really bad weekend to try out the Flamingo for the first time. You could hear toilets flushing in the surrounding rooms. It was apparant what she was up to, (but that is for another forum). We did hear the lady in the room next door at 5 am one morning. My complaints were mold in the shower, and my family didn't like the pillows at all. Got more lotion and shampoo, but no additional towels. Wrote a note to housekeeping requesting towels along with tip. I did ask housekeeping for additional towels upon checking in. It was roomy enough for the 4 of us and our luggage. It was a great view of the city! The room was dated but I had expected worse due to some of the other reviews. We got a room on the 23rd floor overlooking the pool and habitat area. The go room with the frosted doors didn't appeal to me with the sons along. The desk attendant was a ditz! We finally got it thru her head that a deluxe room was what we wanted. Check in at 3 pm was slow took 25 minutes to get thru the line. This was our first time to stay at the Flamingo. My family, husband and I plus our 2 sons ages 25 and 22 just returned from a long weekend in Las Vegas. I do feel that we chose a really bad weekend to try out the Flamingo for the first. The room was dated but I had expected worse due to some of the other reviews. ![]() ![]()
